The spiked walls are a technique of soil reinforcement. The nailing is mainly used for the support of excavation fronts and natural slopes. With this technique composite structures are realized that exploit the interaction between the soil and the collaborating inclusions.

The soil nailing technique consists in introducing "nails" reinforcements into the ground with the function of absorbing the stresses that the soil in natural conditions would not be able to withstand.
