The secant piles are used for the construction of diaphragms or more generally for the formation of support structures and consist of a series of large diameter piles made with various methodologies whose center distance is smaller than the diameter. All the methodologies of construction of the secant piles provide for the execution of a series of "primary" or "female" poles and the closure of the structure through the execution of the "secondary" or "male" poles.
