MICROPILES
According to the European Standard, all piles with a diameter equal or less than 300 millimeters are considered micropiles.
The micropiles are small diameter piles that contain a structural element that allows to transfer the loads or to limit the deformations. They can be performed using small equipment. The armature of the micropiles consists of a tube or a steel section and the filling material consists of a cement mixture or cement mortar or grout.
Micropiles are used in the following functions:

underpinning existing structures,

foundation of new structures
-
retaining structures to allow excavation excavations,

improvement of the stability of slopes and slopes,

anchoring of structures.
